Connect Facebook adds a step to the RateMyAgent review process that asks your agents’ sellers and buyers to also leave a review on your Facebook business page. (Learn more about Facebook pages here)

  • Why is it beneficial to have RateMyAgent reviews showing on our Facebook page?

Connecting your Facebook page with your profile gives your sellers and buyers the opportunity to post their RateMyAgent review as a review on your Facebook page.

Reviews on Facebook provide valuable information to your customers during their journey to find an agent. Reviews appear in the Reviews tab of your Facebook page and can help your business stand out on both Facebook and Google.

  • Where will these reviews show on Facebook?

  • How do the reviews get from my RateMyAgent profile to my Facebook business page?

The first step is to make sure you have a link to their Facebook page on their RateMyAgent profile.

You can do this by logging into your RateMyAgent account, navigating to “Edit Profile” in the menu and adding your Facebook business page link in the Social Media settings.

After any seller or buyer finishes leaving their review on RateMyAgent they’ll be prompted to share the same review with Facebook with just one click.

As soon as your client chooses to post their RateMyAgent review to your Facebook page and publish it, the review will be live for you to read and respond to it via your Facebook page.

  • Why are all my RateMyAgent reviews not showing on my Facebook page?

Like leaving a review on RateMyAgent, your clients have the choice to post their review through to Facebook. 

If it’s important to you that your clients post their review through to Facebook, why not tell them so in the custom message you send out in the review request?

  • How long does it take for a review to go live?

As soon as your client chooses to post their review from RateMyAgent to your Facebook page and publishes it, the review will be live for you to read and respond to it via your Facebook page.

  • How do I respond to reviews left on Facebook?

Reviews from your customers can provide valuable feedback for your and replying to reviews can help build your customers' trust. 

When you reply to a review, your response will appear below your customer's review on Facebook. People on Facebook will see both the customer review and your response when they look at your Facebook reviews.

You can reply to reviews directly from your business profile by logging into your Facebook account, through the Facebook app or website.

  • Can I remove a review from my Facebook page?

Reviews that violate the Facebook review policies can be flagged as inappropriate from your Facebook account which will alert Facebook moderators.

Reviews posted on your Facebook page can only be deleted or removed by Facebook moderators.

  • How do I connect my Facebook page from my RateMyAgent profile?

Connections between RateMyAgent and Facebook account.

What you’ll need:

  • Access to your agent or office account

  • A Facebook page created for you or your office

  • A paid RateMyAgent agent or office subscription (AU & NZ)

Connecting with Facebook:

  1. Go to Edit Profile in your account menu.

  2. Check the Facebook link in your Social Media settings is correct.

  3. Go to Linked Accounts in your account menu.

  4. Click on the Connect Facebook tab

  5. Click the `Activate` button

Reviews can only be left on a Facebook Page which has the Reviews feature turned on. To do this, go to your Facebook Page settings and enable Review settings to “Anyone can review on the page”.

Any office on a RateMyAgent Starter, Professional or Enterprise (AU Only) subscription has access to connect their Facebook page with RateMyAgent.

  • How do I disconnect my Facebook page from my RateMyAgent profile?

Simply head to the Linked Accounts page in your account menu and click the ‘Deactivate’ button.

Clients will no longer have the option to post their reviews from RateMyAgent to your Facebook page..

Any existing reviews that clients choose to post through to your Facebook page will remain on the page and be view-able in Facebook search results and your Facebook reviews page.

  • I can’t see a Reviews section on my Facebook page.

If a Facebook page has already been verified and you're authorised to manage the page, you can enable the Facebook reviews feature from the Facebook Page settings.

Set reviews to “Anyone can review on the page”.

  • I’m an agent, can I connect to my Facebook page?

Connections between RateMyAgent and Facebook can only occur within the account. However, once your has connected to it’s Facebook page, all your future clients who complete the RateMyAgent review form will receive a request to also post their review on Facebook.

If you’re an agent and would like your clients to have the option to post their RateMyAgent reviews through to Facebook you’ll need to get your admin to connect the RateMyAgent profile with Facebook.

  • What happens if I move agencies, can I take my reviews off the Facebook page for my ex-office?

As soon as a client chooses to post their review from RateMyAgent to an office Facebook page and publishes it, the review will stay with the office.

Only reviews that violate the Facebook review policies can be removed from Facebook pages. Instructions on how to flag an inappropriate review that you find on your listing can be found here.

  • What happens to my connection with Facebook if my office unsubscribes?

If an office subscription is downgraded to a free account from any paid subscription the connection to the Facebook page will be removed. Clients will no longer have the option to post their reviews from RateMyAgent to Facebook.

Any existing reviews that clients chose to post on your office Facebook page will remain on the page and be view-able in Facebook search results and your office Facebook page reviews.

To check your office subscription or upgrade to unlock Connect Facebook, head to the Billing Section your RateMyAgent office dashboard.

  • How do I get support with our Facebook page?

  • How do I add managers to our office Facebook page?

Adding managers of a Facebook page occurs directly with Facebook, not RateMyAgent.

Owners of Facebook pages can invite additional users to own or manage an office page. When owners and managers are added, users share management of a page without having to share personal account information. Owners, managers, and site managers can all have different levels of access to the page.

  • How do my clients post their review on Facebook at a later date after they have posted a review on RateMyAgent?

Clients can post a review on your Facebook page at a later date by going to your Facebook page and clicking the Reviews tab.

  • What types of RateMyAgent reviews are clients prompted to post on Facebook?

There are three ways reviews are posted to RateMyAgent; (1) if the review is requested by the agent or office, (2) if an agent or office posts an existing reviews which needs to be verified by the client or (3) if a client has bought or sold a property in the last twelve months.

Assuming your Facebook page is connect to RateMyAgent;

  • If the review is requested by the agent, the client will have the choice to post the review on Facebook.

  • If an existing review is posted, the client will have the choice to post the review of Facebook after verifying the RateMyAgent review.

  • If the client is reviewing the agent or office ‘organically’ they will not have the choice to post to Facebook.

N.B review requests for Property Management is not yet part of the Connect Facebook feature.
